UK City Final

Rugby and Northampton's Celia Brown set a new Indoor club record and UK City cup final Record in the woman's 800. Celia's time of 2.04.15 bettered the club record she set earlier this year of 2.05.21. To outline her strength and improvement this year she also competed well in the 1500 meters coming home in 4th place with 4.33. Read report from UKAthletics.

European Trials

Rugby and Northampton sent a strong group of 60 meter sprinters to the event with Clair Spurway, Emma Bailey and Multiple Club record holder Ellana Ruddock. Emma ran strong in her heat to advance through to the semi final. Finishing in 4th place in the second semi, Emma equaled the club record of 7.52. Emma just missed out on the club record in the final finishing in 7th place with 7.53. Claire and Ellana ran 7.85 and 7.86 respectively in the heats.

In the womans 200 meter event, club record holder Ellana Ruddock and Vicki Barr both competed well with Ellena running a seasons best time of 24.71 and Vicki running 24.57 to just snatch the fastest loser spot from her club colleague and advance to the final. Vicky went on to finish 6th in the final with 24.96.

Celia Brown finished a strong second in her opening race to advance through to the final of the womans 800. Her time of 2.06.36 was good enough for a fastest loser spot. In the Final Celia finished a fine 5th and just missing out on a medal as 3 athletes all recorded 2.06 clockings.

On the men's side- Gary white who still competing for Rugby and Northampton while awaiting clearence to join Cardiff finished a fantastic 5th in a high quality field with a new lifetime best of  15.87.
