COUNTY 3000M CHAMPIONSHIPS REPORT

Matt Almond successfully defended his County 3000m title at Corby’s Rockingham Triangle. Almond won the Senior Mens race in a time of 8 mins 59.5 secs  to finish half a minute clear of the field, which included a bronze medal for the Clubs latest new signing Steward Nelson. 

The revelation of the race had to be Terry Egan who won a County track Medal for the 25^th year in a row. He clinched the over 35 Veteran Mens crown When he recorded  9 mins 46.8 secs  for his 22^nd County title on the track. Vince Carroll had to settle for silver yet again when he was timed at 9.57.1 

The under 15 boys section saw a win for Luke Robinson in 10 mins 4.9 secs And George Cardwell won the silver in 11.44.6.
