Brace of 2nd place finishes on Super Saturday
Last weekend was probably the best in the short life of Rugby & Northampton Athletic Club since the 2 Clubs merged in 2002. With around 90 athletes from the Club competing in 2 venues 180 miles apart and in 3 separate Cup Finals, the results far exceeded expectations. The Club’s Senior Ladies and Men’s teams were competing in the BAL’s Knock-Out Cup Main and Plate Finals at Bedford, and the U/17 teams were competing in the UK Young Athletes League Auxiliary Final at Manchester. The result of all 3 Finals showed that the Club’s future as a leading UK Track & Field Club was ensured.
