Course Record for Angela Copson

In the first race of the East Midlands Grand Prix Series Angela Copson broke the Womens over 60 course record. She covered the Silverstone 10k course in 40 mins 13 secs for 8th place in the Ladies race and led home the R&N team, which finished in third place.

Alison Rose-Quirie was next home and finished 3rd  in the over 45 category with a time of 45.54 and completing the team was Annette Carlin with 46.24, which also put the Veteran women in 3rd place.

The over 65 Ladies section was won by Pat Francis in 66.01 and Barbara Parkinson claimed second behind Copson in the female 60 race with 48.39.

Jayne Partridge (50.40) and Gay Tresler (53.58) were 1st and 2nd  respectively in the over 55 competition.

First man home for R&N was Dave James in 37 mins 26 secs for 41st place followed by John Saw in 47th with 37.52.

Making up the mens team was Neil Willsher  (143rd in 41.33) and Adrian Hodson ( 168th in 42.23 ).
