Ladies Running Group
Beginner & Intermediate Running Group for Women
Established 4 years ago the Ladies Running Group now has more than 150 regular members catering for women of all ages and abilities, complete novices to intermediate runners.
Whether you are looking to compete in your first 5k or dream of running a marathon the group will provide you with coach led sessions and an event specific training plan to meet your individual needs.
Your personal goal may be to get fit, lose weight, relieve work pressure, escape from the kids for an hour or meet new people you will find all the above in the group.
Meeting at Rugby Athletics Track (next to Ken Mariott Leisure Centre) you will always find someone who runs at your pace - fast or slow - and the sessions are a mixture of track based training and calculated distance runs alternating week to week with hill sessions and occasional winter indoor core/circuit training thrown into the mix.
Fun, friendship and a shared commitment to supporting each other to achieve personal goals is an integral part of the group.
Beginners Group : Saturdays 10:00am
Ideal for ladies who have never run before or have not run for many years. A new Group commences in February & September with a target of completing a 5k race at the end of May and beginning of December. The sessions will take you gradually from a non runner to being able to complete 5K with confidence. After completing the 5K you will progress into the intermediate group.

Intermediate Group : Saturdays 9.00am
If you can run 5K and/or would like to run 10K or a half marathon this group is perfect for you. A structured coaching programme is provided with track sessions, circuit sessions, core stability work and measured group runs covering all distances.
Fees: Beginners Group £25.00 (Feb-May or Sep-Dec) Intermediate Group £63.00 per annum.
